Rixen Rockers is a live duo made up of brothers Ryan and Colin Dorward, aka Sharps and Colin Muir. The brothers grew up together in Singapore where they acquired a taste for technology and music. With over ten years of experience each in creating and producing dance music, the duo has recently had the opportunity to fuse their styles. Drawing from their diverse influences in acid house, glitch/IDM, new bass and breakbeat, the brothers have formed a powerful live act that fills and destroys dance floors. Rixen Rockers is currently based out of Vancouver, BC and Edmonton, AB.

Ryan Dorward AKA Sharps

Over a decade of production and seven years of DJing have given Ryan the solid ability to move a crowd. Because of his obsession with killer dance grooves, Ryan's role in the Rockers is always with the flow behind the music, the drums and the bass that give it juice and moves bodies. Ryan pushes the edge of the technology and sound through his custom gear modifications and algorithms that are critical to the Rixen Rockers sound. On top of live performance and DJing, Ryan has produced a full-length album, "InfiniteLove666" and has an upcoming release on Si Begg's label, Noodles Discotheque. 

Colin Dorward AKA ColinMuir

Colin's extensive studio time has resulted in a full length CD, self-titled "ColinMuir", hordes of unreleased material, and appearances on various compilations. He has also managed to rock crowds all over Vancouver with his driving live performances solo and alongside Vancouver favorite Snailrider. Colin's music is both visual and articulate, perhaps due to an influence from his parallel life as a painter. Definitely the creative powerhouse behind the Rixen Rockers, Colin brings colour to the music that gives it expression and emotion.
